Alabama Adds Shannon Lathrop
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - University of Alabama head soccer coach
Todd Bramble has added Shannon Lathrop of Birmingham's Oak Mountain High
School to the Crimson Tide roster for the 2008 season. Lathrop, a 5-7
midfielder, was a 2007 First Team All-Metro selection and was voted Mountain
Brook's Offensive Most Valuable Player as a senior.
"Being able to add a play of Shannon's quality at this late date is
exciting," Bramble said. "Her comfort level on the ball and her tactical

high school seniors on Wednesday, head coach
Karen Hoppa announced. The eight signees will bring a wealth of ODP
experience with them when they join the Auburn soccer program this summer.
The signees are Maddie Barnes (McDonough, Ga./Woodward Academy), Ana Cate
(Lithia, Fla./Joe E. Newsome), Mary Coffed (Atlanta, Ga./Marist School), Amy
Howard (Mandeville, La./Mandeville), Jessica Rightmer (Austin, Texas/Manor),
Christine Schweer (Birmingham/Oak Mountain), Caitlin Torie (Atlanta, Ga./The
Lovett School) and Tasia Williams (Marietta, Ga./Carlton Kell).
"This 2009 class makes us better in every

Bramble Inks 10 on National Signing Day
TUSCALOOSA,
Ala. - University of Alabama head soccer coach Todd Bramble announced that
10 student-athletes have signed national letters of intent to play soccer
for the Crimson Tide. The class is the first true signing class for coach
Bramble as he enters his second year at the helm of the Tide soccer program.
"Having graduated eight players - six of whom were starters - this class
comes in with big shoes to fill," head coach Todd Bramble said.
"Fortunately, through the efforts of our coaching staff and current
student-athletes, we have attracted a talented group to the Capstone that is
capable of continuing to move this program forward. Of particular interest
in this class is that four of the 10 signees hail from the far west region.
Not only are we excited to be adding such a talented group to our team,
these players must be awfully excited about the opportunity they have to
make such significant contributions so early in their playing career."
